Moroccan National Team Arrives in Franceville Ahead of CAN 2025
Upon arrival at M'Vengue El Hadj Omar Bongo Ondimba Airport in Franceville, the Moroccan national football team was warmly welcomed by Morocco's Ambassador to Gabon, Abdellah Sbihi, alongside members of the Gabonese Football Federation and the Moroccan embassy staff.
Morocco, as the host nation, has already secured its place in the CAN 2025 tournament and is grouped with Gabon, the Central African Republic, and Lesotho in Group B. Currently, Morocco leads the group with 12 points, while Gabon follows in second with 7 points, ahead of the Central African Republic, which has 3 points. Lesotho, with only 1 point, has been eliminated from the competition.
For the final two qualifying matches, Moroccan head coach Walid Regragui has selected a squad of 26 players, preparing to finalize the qualification stage with a strong performance.
